“Are persons born in the U.S. to temporarily or illegally present parents U.S. citizens by birthright under the Fourteenth Amendment?”

This debate will take place at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville on Wednesday, April 23rd. The debate resolution will be; “Be it resolved, persons born in the U.S. to temporarily or illegally present parents are U.S. citizens by birthright under the Fourteenth Amendment.” Arguing the affirmative is Vikram Amar, Distinguished Professor of Law, University of California, Davis School of Law.
