Carter Mateer

Carter is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in public affairs and the private sector. Before joining the Department of Energy (DOE), he worked at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where he advised senior leaders at Fortune 100 companies on identifying and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities. His experience includes working with multiple clients across various industries, helping them create and operationalize strategic objectives to launch new products and services, drive efficiency, and reduce waste.

In addition to his consulting work, Carter has significant public policy experience. He served as a foreign policy advisor to U.S. Senator Cory Gardner and has actively collaborated with the Steamboat Institute to promote policies that support energy security and abundance.
