Michael Caplan

Michael Caplan is a third year law student at Notre Dame Law School. Born and raised in Southern California, Michael is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara where he received his B.A. in History and Political Science. In Fall 2021, he completed an academic residency studying theology and political philosophy at The John Jay Institute. Before law school he worked as Program Coordinator at The Public Interest Fellowship (TPIF) where he assisted in planning TPIF programs, operations and alumni engagement. At Notre Dame, Michael has served as Vice President of Speakers for NDLS FedSoc, Vice President for Jus Vitae, and is a Senior Notes Editor for the Journal on Law, Ethics, and Public Policy. After graduation Michael will work as a litigation associate at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur and then serve as a term clerk for the Hon. Lee Rudofsky on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
