Paula Mateer
Paula Mateer is a business analyst at Deloitte. She is an MS Finance Candidate with a BS in Civil Engineering. Born in Colombia, and growing up in the United States, United Kingdom and South Africa, Paula has native fluency in English and Spanish and speaks French and Portuguese. She is at the University of Colorado Boulder on a full-ride academic scholarship awarded by the Boettcher Foundation.
Her past experience includes internships at Phillips 66, Colorado Department of Transportation and Kiewit Engineering Group.
She is an imaginative problem solver and public speaker. She has conducted research on Rural Electrification in the Brazilian Amazon and was then selected to present at the Global Microgrid Innovation Forum in London, UK. In 2019 she competed nationally in KPMG’s Innovation Challenge, presenting in San Francisco and New York City on solutions in the transportation industry involving machine learning and artificial intelligence.
