Emerging Leader in the Department of Energy

ELC Executive Committee member Carter Mateer received a Presidential Appointment at the U.S. Department of Energy in the Office of International Affairs.

Carter has been a member of the Emerging Leaders Council since 2020.

As an Emerging Leader, Carter helped the Steamboat Institute pioneer our “Outspoken Roundtables” mock debate program. In everything he does, Carter goes above and beyond, working to help cultivate an environment where civility and critical thinking thrive.
