Meet Emerging Leader Braedon Sorbo
May 1, 2020
Meet Braeden Sorbo! He was homeschooled and is the son of film actors and producers Sam and Kevin Sorbo. A budding actor, Braeden received great acclaim for his honest portrayal of Gus Harkins in the movie, “Let There Be Light.” Braeden enjoys public speaking, politics, and his dog, Hunter.
1. What do you care most about and why?
The issues I care about most all pertain to the ever-growing realm of social media. It is a vast sea with which the world connects. The importance of understanding social media is absolutely crucial in today’s day and age. Without even the slightest knowledge, one is lost. Everything happens on social media for a reason: it’s where all the people are. So, get yourself onto Instagram or something and start learning because it is the new wave, and this tsunami is going to hit all of us.
2. Why are you a conservative? What drew you to it?
Facts and logic. There’s not much more to put. As Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi famously said, “It was the courteous thing to do, considering the alternative.” As someone who likes the truth and reason, the Left left me with no choice.
3. What role models, thinkers, writers, leaders do you like and why?
Personally, I see President Donald Trump as a role model; headstrong, pushing through the garbage in front of him and dodging booby traps like Indiana Jones. He is truly inspiring. Now, while not everything he says is phenomenal, his ability to deal with the “haters” is.
4. What made you want to join ELAC?
My parents explained it in a way that made me want to join. The more I studied and learned about ELAC, the more I wanted to become a part of it. The opportunity to meet and work with like-minded individuals near my age was also a draw. It’s like a mini-family. We all work together and help each other with everything.
5. What are 1-2 goals you have in the next 5-10 years?
To make social media and acting a full-time job, as well as to be successful enough become financially independent, and make waves in the ocean of the world.
